Digital X-rays
Digital X-rays will be utilized during your visit, even if you have had recent X-rays at your general dentist’s office, to ensure we have the most up-to-date information on your tooth. We do everything possible to minimize X-ray exposure, including a lead shield and low-radiation digital imaging.
Digital radiography is a form of X-ray imaging in which digital X-ray sensors are used instead of traditional film; this allows us to view the image more quickly as less time is spent “processing.” Digital radiography also allows us to present full screen images that can be enhanced and zoomed in to for better viewing.
Digital imaging also enables our office to communicate images electronically to your dentist. Signature Endodontics uses Kodak RadioVisioGraphy (RVG) which reduces up to 80% of radiation exposure when compared to conventional techniques.
